Upcoming Summit - High Energy Women
Find out why minerals are the number one cause of fatigue, and what to do about it!
I'm excited to announce that I will be featured on an upcoming summit - High Energy Women - later this month. You can find out more here.
Women come to me all the time with fatigue. It is their number one complaint. Many women wind up with a diagnosis of “adrenal fatigue,” and wind up on supplements that don’t truly fix the problem, but merely mask it. I wrote about this in my article Truth, Lies, and Adrenal Fatigue.
So what's the number one reason women today are tired?
The answer is one that I am passionate about - minerals.

"You can trace every sickness, every disease, and every ailment to a mineral deficiency."
- Linus Pauling
Minerals are the spark plugs of life.
I recently consulted on a case of fatigue with a young woman who has three children. Her case is typical of those that I see, particularly with multiple children, and her mineral panel explained exactly why she was fatigued.
She had low levels of multiple minerals, particularly selenium, potassium, and copper.
Why would this cause fatigue?
Because potassium is needed for energy generation and water-bonding networks within cells. I talk more about this in this video.
Copper is essential for energy generation in mitochondria via the mitochondrial electron transport chain.
Selenium is essential for energy generation because it is a co-factor for thyroid hormone production.
Why did she have low selenium, copper, and potassium levels? A lack of vegetables, nuts, seeds, and seafood created a lack of supply. The stressful life of a mother with three children is the other.
This is why one of my favorite dishes is a combination of a fish, a seaweed, a nut or seed, a whole-grain bread, a root vegetable like potatoes, in some kind of broth or tomato sauce.
Many of my colleagues think that plants are poison. This is nonsense. I use them all the time to get patients better, because they are loaded with various minerals.
We did not just address her diet and nutritional deficiencies - one of my health coaches also helped her create a healthier lifestyle. I recommended a Sperti D lamp given that she lives in a cold, dark climate. I wrote about the importance of UV light last month - it is one of my favorite tools to combat fatigue, which surprises most people. She combines this with red and infrared light, which are vital to energy generation within cells. She, of course, bought blue blockers (which I wrote about here) and the right lightbulbs (which I wrote about here).
