Reflections from Punta Mita, Mexico
How to build community and the importance of authenticity
I am in Punta Mita this week, as I already mentioned in Monday's post:
I am here courtesy of LifeWave. I am joined by dozens (maybe a hundred?) of fellow brand partners who decided to make a simple choice to earn this trip.
How did they do it?
Richard Brooke and I covered this in our recent podcast, which you can listen to here:
But let me break it down for you as a simple step-by-step process.
They tried the LifeWave patches (start with the X39)
They or their loved ones experienced incredible results with the X39 patch
They began to share the patches with friends and family
They followed up with friends and family to answer any questions they had
They signed up friends and family as brand partners or customers to experience the benefits of the patches
Why did they do this?
There are three things that motivate people more than anything.
Health
Wealth
Relationships
What is worse than being sick, broke, and unloved?
Those who are healthy, wealthy, and in loving relationships can truly be called blessed.
What I love about LifeWave is that it is a way to health, wealth, and great relationships. It is an incredible opportunity that I am excited to be pursuing with my team.
What's the catch?
You have to have the right attitude.
I will confess that when Renita Brannan approached me with LifeWave, I needed an attitude adjustment. I had just gone through a difficult falling out with a dear mentor of mine. Colleagues, friends, and family had cut me off due to disagreements about the nature of COVID, and particularly vaccination. I felt alone and adrift in the world.
Maintaining a positive attitude in healthcare is a challenge, because you are constantly confronted with the most difficult, ugly, and horrible circumstances imaginable.
I was having dinner with Kathleen Horstmeyer (my Team Director) the other night, and she told me about the tragic stories her husband encountered during his days as an ER doctor. Having worked in the poorest regions of the country at the height of the opiate epidemic, I can relate. It is difficult to maintain a positive attitude when you are surrounded by tragedy.
As I began to use LifeWave products, I also started to work on my attitude. I started a daily gratitude practice. I started to focus on the positive, rather than the negative. I started to take testimonials from patients, rather than just seeing patients. Just listening to patients tell me how much better they were had a profound impact on my well-being. I started to improve my practice for myself and for my patients, so we had happier, more satisfied patients.
Here is what I still share with patients who need to work on their mindset:
Meredith Oke and Amy Apr both touched on these themes during our podcasts - you should definitely listen to them if you haven’t already.
Two years later, I am married, I have a son, I have more friends than I can keep up with, and I have built a practice that works for me and delivers exceptional outcomes to our patients.
LifeWave has become a bigger part of that than I ever imagined it would be.
Why has LifeWave had such a positive impact on my life?
My health has improved thanks to the patches. I have more energy, endurance, and stamina. I gain muscle more easily. I am sharper, mentally, than ever before.
The patches have created a supplemental income for me that allows me to spend more time writing, researching, and then sharing my knowledge with the world. I am spending more and more time with my LifeWave team. My goal is to motivate them to help more people, and educate them on how to help their friends and family with the patches, and anything else I may think useful to them.
LifeWave has brought me into relationship with some of the most wonderful people I have ever met. They are kind, sincere, hard-working people who want to make the world a better place.
I have lost track of the number of people here on this trip who have approached me to ask how my son, Benjamin, is doing, and to tell me that they have been praying for him and our whole family. To be in so many people's prayers is humbling.
A couple of other brand partners came up to me while I was writing this post to chat. They both work in construction and their wives are working the business more than they are. Their names are Sam and Matt.
Here are a few highlights from their experiences with the patches.
Matt’s highlights:
Red, inflamed skin with painful cysts on his face cleared up completely with Alavida, X39, and benzoyl peroxide wash
This was after six months of time wasted on treatments from dermatologists
A friend with bone-on-bone knees was headed for joint replacement, and can now wear high heels and walk downstairs again thanks to the X49 and X39 patches
Sam’s highlights:
Their 14-year-old daughter's breakouts completely resolved with the X39 and Aeon patches
Their son with cerebral palsy was able to turn his hand over and open it for the first time in his life with X39 and X49
His wife has more energy and is suddenly cooking dinner and cleaning the house with the kids on days when usually they would just be ordering pizza and crashing
He noticed that he and his wife started resolving their differences faster and with less conflict
His wife even said, "I think these patches are affecting my emotions."
The cynic in me, who I still wrestle with on a daily basis, wants to respond to these positive experiences with statements or questions like:
"Sounds too good to be true."
"What's the catch?"
"How do I know it's not placebo?"
"How long do I need to use the patches to see results?"
"What's the downside?"
To which the optimist in me says:
Individual results vary - welcome to planet earth
The catch is that for best results, you need to have a healthy diet and a positive attitude
Everything you do accesses the placebo or the nocebo, for good or for ill - in my experience, true placebos do not compare to the patches
The downside is up to you, because any opportunity is what you make of it
I am grateful for this opportunity and glad to be pursuing it.
Join my team
Join my team. Become a brand partner. I am more and more excited about what we are doing at LifeWave.
Next week, we have a masterclass for the team at 4 PM Eastern on Wednesday. The topic is biomarkers for weight loss. I will be going over my labs and explaining how I look at each of them in terms of weight loss (or gain).
Why is this?
I have spent my whole life pursuing the truth to help others improve their health. I could just sell these courses for hundreds or thousands of dollars each, and people would pay it. We do, after all, have dozens of people paying hundreds of dollars a month for our HTMA coaching and mentorship program.
Instead, I am investing in my team, to help them build their businesses and reach more people. People need both the information and the patches, and what I love about bundling them together is that we are doing more good for more people.
Join the team. Get access to these masterclasses. There will be many more.
Join here. You will be enrolling with Kathleen Horstmeyer, my Team Director, who is responsible for training and customer success. She will reach out to you once you have enrolled as a brand partner.
Note, you don't need to customize your enrollment kit. Just purchase it as it is - loaded with X39 patches. They are the best patch for you to start with.
Until next time, be well,
Dr. Stillman
