During COVID, David Brownstein, MD, Robert Rowen, MD, and various associates of theirs published a paper on a treatment protocol that included nebulized hydrogen peroxide.
We’ve been using nebulized hydrogen peroxide for years in integrative medicine. Brownstein also advocates for the nebulization of iodine, although I note that both he and I tend to use it internally more than externally.
Here’s the protocol I use in my practice, which I adapted from various sources I found over the years. I am making this protocol freely available, because it isn’t my original work. I’ve adapted it from various other sources.
Nebulizing with Hydrogen Peroxide
I use this nebulizer.
How to Make Saline Solution
Fill up a 8 oz. glass jar with purified water. It’s important that you don’t use tap water but purified water only.
Add 1/2 teaspoon of Himalayan Salt, Celtic Salt, or Real Salt.
Stir to dissolve.
How to Prepare Hydrogen Peroxide for Nebulizing
Add 2 teaspoons of 3% food-grade hydrogen peroxide (I use this brand) to the 8 oz. saline water. You can also buy prepared saline solution here.
How to Set Up Your Nebulizer
Read the instructions of your nebulizer carefully.
Connect the tubing to the nebulizer.
Open the nebulizer medicine container and add 2–3 mL which is 1–2 droppers full or about 1/2 teaspoon of your hydrogen peroxide and saline solution.
Put the mask on and breathe in the nebulized hydrogen peroxide solution.
Start nebulizing with hydrogen peroxide as soon as you start feeling unwell. Use it for 5 to 15 minutes every hour until you start feeling better. You may likely feel better within the first day. Once you are better, reduce nebulizing to every four to six hours until a few days after you are completely well.
A few drops of Lugol’s iodine can be added as well, although I usually use this internally.
Based on the article by Dr. Jockers. Inspired by David Brownstein, MD, whose protocol for this I could not find with a quick internet search.
Until next time, be well,
Dr. Stillman
Nebulizer link is broken.
Thank you for this information. It would be awesome to have an article on how to tell if your hydrogen peroxide is still good.
Dr Thomas Levy has information about nebulizing hydrogen peroxide in two chapters of his book 'Rapid Viral Recovery'.
It's available in a few places, including:
