RUNGA is coming up in two weeks and I wanted to share my favorite part of the experience.
... that would be, "you."
Or at least, it could be you if you're there.
Why am I so excited to get together with people in person to talk about health, wellness, and optimal performance?
Because so much is lost in the digitization of life. I'm tired of staring into a webcam. I miss a time when we spent a lot of our time actually collaborating, talking, and just experiencing life around other people.
I am certain that removing ourselves from real-life, in-person interactions is having negative effects on our health.
Yours truly with Ben Greenfield at the last RUNGA event.
I am constantly taking on new cases, and the most consistent complaints I hear are:
1. Brain fog
2. Fatigue
3. Depression
4. Anxiety
5. Weight gain/metabolic problems
One of the most important and misunderstood causes of these problems is a lack of social interaction.
Today, people are in many respects more isolated from one another than ever before in history.
Ask yourself a simple question.
What are you doing about that?
Are you going to church? Are you helping out at a local charity that you believe in? Are you regularly scheduling time with friends and family? Are you regularly going out on dates with your spouse or partner?
What are you doing to be a social creature?
One of the problems we face in a world of hyper-mobility (I myself have moved several times as an adult) is that it has never been easier to disconnect yourself from your social network and simultaneously it has never been so difficult to recreate a local social network. While we are blessed to be able to communicate with one another across long distances, this leaves us deficient in our in-person interactions.
That's one of the reasons that I take time out of my busy schedule to go to RUNGA.
If you've been feeling sad, angry, tired, or just generally upset lately, then I recommend that you come to RUNGA. Tickets are running out - book a call to learn more about RUNGA or go ahead and book your ticket.
Until next time, be well,
Dr. Stillman
Would love to connect with you there but for school and $$$ !
